Premium Latigo Leather Strop
These are handmade by our good friend AJ of Redbeard Original. I am so happy to finally be offering these! The larger than regular handle gives a better grip, while the increased quality of the leather provides a better medium upon which to strop your knives. The hardware is also oversized and more durable, providing a better hook with which to attach the strop to any hook or ring you would prefer.
This is the way I get your edges buttery sharp before I ship them to you! I love these so much more than hones. These require less skill and get better results than hones. Daily to weekly use of this will increase the edge of your knife exponentially. I recommend keeping the strop oiled and it will become darker with time, and loading it with compounds depending on your desired finish. I use 8,000 grit compound on the unfinished side and 600,000 grit compound on the smooth side.
